Anyone know a good suspension design/engineering book?

I am looking for a good book to learn about suspension design and engineering, and the geometry and math involved. Anyone have any recommendations?

I just picked up High Performance Handling Handbook by Don Alexander. $19.95 Us from Chapters.

From skimming though it it looks to be a little vauger than you are after, but the testing and tuning sections look to be very well done and very useful.

i second that, it is a very good book, with lots of useful info for people who are just starting out, all the way up to people who already know quite a bit about suspensions.

For the advanced practitioner try the series by Carroll Smith entitled prepare to win, tune to win, and drive to win. They should be available through any automotive related bookstore that is any good. These books are legendary, especially now, since he just passed away from cancer. He also did a book on fasteners, I forget the title, but he wanted to name it screw to win...what a guy.

A good start would be:

"The Automotive Chassis"
by J. Reimpell, H. Stoll, J. W. Betzler

"Chassis Design - Principles and Analysis"
by William and Douglas Milliken

Do a search on Maurice Olley look for some of his
papers and standards.
