Performance Friction Pads=Noise?
I installed a set PF carbon metallics in the rear of my '88(rear end and brakes are from an '87 Iroc) and now I'm getting a noise that seems to coming from the passenger side. It sounds like the pad is dragging on the rotor but when light pressure is applied to the brakes the noise goes away. Its only noticable at lower speeds up to about 30 mph.
I used the shims they provide and also put some of that anti-squeal stuff on the back of the pads and bent the tabs back on the outer pads. The only thing I'm wondering about is that since the parking brake is used to adjust and set the pads, this could be my problem. My parking brake is pretty much non-existent in terms of actually doing anything...
Anyone have any thoughts?

sounds like either you got oil/grease on the pad, or the pad has a peice of metal in it. I had a pad one time that about 1/3 through the wear rate it started doing this. I pull everything apart and I could see a "big" peice of metal embedded in the pad. Manufature defect. This or your calaper is sticking.

The noise is at any temp.
It wouldn't suprise me if the pad was contaminated, I really had to wrestle the damn things into place. I pulled it all apart but I didn't see anything on the pads.
