spohn stuff and a daily driver
I was pondering with the idea of this stuff, I don't race my car but I do from time to time like to run it through curvy roads, would it be a waste of money for a car that isn't run extremly hard, also are subframe connector very beneficial on a hardtop, I've never heard the car creaking and stuff.
I've seen a few posts on the sub frame connectors, are they installed with all weight off the car, all the weight on the suspension.
adjustable spohn stuff is this intended for racing.
anyone encouter alignment problems or clearnce issues with them.
I like the torque arm going to the transmission idea, I've had mine out and have seen first hand how flimsy the factory stuff is, for instance I've had the rear track bars off the rear end (the ones that control side movement) with them disconnected my whole rear end will shift a few inches. do the spohn arms that connect the rear end to the frame act like this.
has anyone ever welded a better mount for the track bar that is bolted to the bottom of the frame rail and then to the right side of the rear end,
spring pressures, mine is a 82 more or less stripper t/a, anyone know it's spring rating compared to say later model, what would be the best steering box, ws-6 or a z-28 box.
sway bars, I've read somewhere about factory hollow sway bars, whats your opinions on these
ws-6 power steering fluid cooler, I'm sure you have seen them, they run underneath the radiator, just basically a 3/8th's metal line .... worthwhile or waste of money
Don't want to rack your brains anymore so I will stop here

ok i will try to handle all this...
Subframes. YES, get them, no matter what you drive.
adjustable spohn stuff. well i had a diffrent experiance than most people here, and i am not very fast to recomend them. personaly i like the global west poly/spherical non-adjustable LCA's. typicaly you want an adjustable Panhard, so you can make sure your rear-end gets centered. you can run poly/poly on the panhard without bind (because the motion here is only in one direction)
the spohn torque arm is a very good design, i really like the idea of moving the ta mount off of the transmision. really, the torque arm is one of the best suspension peices to upgrade, with a good torque arm, and the pinion angle set correctly, you will see big gains from this mod.
i don't know the exact spring rates, you would need to find out exactly which springs you have.
steering box, the ws6 and z28 box 'should' be the same, there are only 2 that i know of, the high ratio box, and the standard. alot of people who don't already have it like to switch to the high-ratio box.
sway bars, yes there are lots of factory hollow sway bars, but only the front bars were hollow. i am a huge fan of using factory sway-bars, IMHO the sizes offered are plenty, so long as you find the right size for the springs you are running you will be fine. the real key to making a car handle, isn't always the biggest badest parts, it is having a good balance with what you have.
i don't know about the PS cooler, so i will let someone else take that one.
i think i covered most of that...
