Does anybody know the length of the tie rod sleeves used on 3rd gens and also what size the threaded part of the tie rod and parts are?

Thanks

don't have a clue , but hotchkis sells them and now so does edelbrock , maybe you can find the numbers you're looking for on their sites.

btw, if you plan to buy stock units from autozone or some parts store I would recommend you spend a bit more on the hotchkis pieces , they are awesome quality and your alignment guy will love you , lol

... before I get banned for the 57th time I would like to say I'm in no way associated with hotchkis perf, just expressing my opinion :-/ ...

They are 5/8 x 18 NF. One end is RH, the other is LH.

I was wondering because i was going to buy them here http://www.colemanracing.com/section/index.htp?id=636 I just needed to know what size to get. The are alot cheaper here than Hotchkis or Edelbrock for that matter.

Thanks

The sleeves are 4". You may need to pick up some jam nuts too.

I noticed they only do a right hand jam nut.Unless anybody can get a left hand nut they are no good.Great shame as they look great and are very cheap.

Yes they make both the right and the left hand. They are under the fasterners section, it took some work but I did find them.

http://www.colemanracing.com/section/index.htp?id=651

Jegs has them in packs of 5 too.

Why couldn't this thread have come up a few weeks ago. I spent $50 on tie rod ends! At least I won't need to spend $300 on LCAs.

the LCA's there only seem to be the tubes. so plop on and extra $80 or more for the bearings for them. you will also need to find a solution for the bearing spacers so you can mount them. and then you also need some jam nuts.

There's a site documenting how to build your own LCAs. I read that quite some time ago, but completely forgot about it when I was ordering parts for my front end rebuild. The spacers can be made from aluminum tubing. The rod ends comprise the bulk of the cost.

http://www.jonaadland.com/Z28/Mods/...uminumLCAs.html

This was also posted again, recently. Save some $$. There's a section on that site for building your own PHR too.

175.84 for all steel LCA's not bad, thats both of them, tubes spacers, ends.
