Before installing a new trans mount...

...figure out why the original was sheered in half laterally. My trans shifts hard from first to second gear, and when I bought the car, the trans mount was shot. I eventually got a Prothane poly mount to put in and all was good for a couple months. Now, thanks to my hard-shifting trans, I have another sheered trans mount. Don't you hate when they bang the crossmember when shifting gears?? ^%)&^*%)(!!$%*&

Since you want to do all the suspension mods with Spohn pieces look at his torque arm takes some of the stress off the trans tailshaft housing could help your mount issues.

Yeah, Spohn TQ arm will help out a lot. I have a 700-r4 Pro-Built SS with all the goodies and a 2400 ACT stall. I put on the 1st design TQ arm from spohn (bought off a guy on classifieds) and I've had no problems with the new OEM mount I put in.
