When installing sway bars.......

Hi, I just wanted to know if you could use ramps to keep pressure on the tires? I mean instead of using a jackstand under the a arm to keep load on the suspension. Can this be done with the rear sway bar as well? Thanks if you guys can help! Eric

I'm sure everyone has their own opinion about ramps, personally I don't use them. I just jack up each end of the car and put some big bricks under the wheels.

As to your question, im sure you can, but when I did the rears (which rusted right off), I used jackstands. Whatever floats your boat.

rhino ramps work great... and our cars actuall roll onto them without hhitting anything... (usually).. plus they are cheap and really strong and light. i use them just as often as i use my jackstands... matter of fact, somtimes i use them on half the car and hold the other half with jackstands so i have plenty of room under there....

but i dont feel safe under thoes stamped steel ramps... thoes scare me. if you do end up getting some, be sure that they have a brace bar across them, and arnt just a stamped piece of steel...

flyway190: be careful if you are using cinderblocks.... they can and do collapse under the weight of a car.. they wernt designed for that.

That's true, but I use solid landscaping bricks that are bigger than normal bricks and more dense than cinderblocks.
