Springs to get??

Anyone have a suggestion on which springs I should get? The Eibcah ones in JEGS are like $240 and there is a set from Suspension Techniques which is like $170. Both kits lower the car 1". Any body have an opinion?

Here's my car, "before" with 250,000+ mile springs, and "after" with the suspension techniques springs: 1 inch drop, #60115 (for 2.8/3.1 82-92 v6 f-bodies), from http://www.shox.com . The springs look like they are a linear rate; each coil was spaced evenly.

Oh and if that's the Pro Kit you're looking at, shox.com has them for $229.

I'll go with the ProKit,, I got the suspension technique springs on my car now and it dropped it 2 inch and I needed to installed rubbers springs stabilizer so it would not bottom out. I'm not happy with them so spend an extra 50 bucks and go with the Prokit if your car is a everyday driving car. I understand the Prokit will only drop about 1 inch. (this always depends on how old and worn out your current springs are). Good luck.

Did you use the stock bump stops or is there an after market source for lowered cars.

Stock,, they recommend to cut them off about 1/2 inch but I did not because I'm going to buy the prokit soon.

Damn Tony, those rims look hot on your car!!

I got two bump stops with my SST springs, but forgot to install them The back tire does ride awfully close to the rear wheel well lip, though- but so far, no damage! (I'm more worried about quarter panel damage then tire damage)

Those rims are hot! Where'd you get them from? Not that I'd copy you, but I am looking for some nice aftermarket rims right now. Also, anyone know where to find billet accessories for third gens? I can't find any.

Good luck on the springs. I need stiffer springs all the way around. Mine are too soft.

These are Centerline "Tornados" 17x8 with BF Goodridge Scorcher TA 245-45/17. I bought them thru the centerline website. They were on sale for $108 each.

Pro Kit...try the classifieds. I see a set every now and then and usually for around $150-200 shipped. I got mine new for $210 shipped from the classifieds.
