torque arm bushing ....HELP!
I just got an energy suspension torque arm bushing and am about to put it on. QUick Question though, where do you grease it??? THe instructions say to grease the inside. Does that mean in the hole where the bar goes or on the surfaces that will be covered by the mount??
thanks.
thanks.

If you're talking about the white lube that comes with it I applied it to the torque arm and then pushed it into the bushing.
How the heck are you supposed to put the bushing on? When putting the outer bracket over the bushing, I am pushing with all my might and cannot get it to touch the inner bracket so that I can put that top bolt in.......ahhhhh!
Are there any tricks that anyone else uses that may help me out here???
thanks.

I used a big pair of channel locks (aka "tounge and groove pliers") to keep the metal shells squeezed together as I bolted the torque arm bushing back up to the trans.
I also applied the grease to the outside of the torque arm bushing, where it touches the metal sleeves. I didn't want any squeaking- and so far, so good (did this job in 1998).

I did the same, greased the inside and outside. Make sure you don't have it in backwards or the clamshell will never close (I tried..).
I actually threaded the bolt on before inserting the tourque arm in mine, and that made it a little easier. I could see where it was binding and make sure it was centered properly.
HTH!

well, I finally got the bugger on yesterday morning.
What a pain in the butt
Everytime I squeezed her closed the holes wouldn't line up. A combination of the channel locks and clamp ideas seemed to finally do it for me. I never want to take that thing off again!
thanks for the tips.
