e-brake cable PN?

I recently swapped a 90 trans am rear end into my 91 firebird.. it's a 9 bolt with disc brakes.. I need to get e-brake cables for it, and I'd prefer getting them from GM.. does anyone have the part number for the left and right cables? only reason I want GM parts is because someone told me they got cables from a parts store and they didn't work, TWICE ... so GM part numbers would be great.. thanks for any help.

Part of the hesitiation might be that i don't think GM made the 9bolt in 1990. Production I thought stopped part way thru the 89 model year. However, I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time...

well, the guy I bought the rear from said it was 90.. and I read somewhere recently that they in fact did put them in in 90, although before reading that, I didn't think they did either....

so, what if it's a 89? bet I still don't get responses.

I just took all that stuff off mine. I'll sell them to ya if ya want. They're only about a year old. Came out of an 87 with a 9-bolt rear.

For the '89-92 years, yes.

'89 9 bolt or not, just order cables for a '90 with the performance rear brake package. I know they only made one style of brakes from '90 on up, but order those. I paid $25 each new from GM.

If all else fails, call Dal and tell him what you need...he'll get you the right part.

ok, thanks Ed. would that be the 1434mm cable? PN 10164125? the dealer told me both sides are the same, and so did the parts store. is that correct also?
