rack and pinion over power steering...
I was thinking about rack and pinion steering, no power assist, that woudl save some room wouldn't you think? no pwr steering pump, and the huge *** thing on the driver side firewall cold go right?
big cars dont' have the greatest turning radius anyways....i would think the only performance i woudl lose would be that it would be hard to turn when the car isn't moving....(with those huge front tires).....any comments?

rack and pinion would definately be an improvement. Not actually sure if it saves any weight but would at least bring the weight further down which is just as good. That big thing on the firewall I'm gonna assume you're talking about is the brake booster and no it can't be removed.

Haha, well I COULD remove the brake booster...but that would suck....I asked my buddy what manual brakes are like, and he was like "you know the brakes on the fury, like that" his 67 plymouth fury requires you to like...floor the brakes to slow down at all....
