Edelbrock 3 point STB w/ SS Hood.........

Does anyone have this set up?

I have an ASCD SS hood on my 88 IROC w/TPI and I can not get the STB to fit. The hood hits the STB in 3 or 4 locations. I started to mod the hood, but I stopped due to the fact that I would have to take a lot of material off of it.

I was thinking of selling the Edel one and trying another brand. Anyone have any input on this matter?

Thanks in advance.

Thomas

No I dont. I cant take pictures as it only happens with the hood closed. The only solution I see is to find a STB that has a lower "profile".

Correct me if i'm wrong.....

But doesn't the Edelbrock STB fit under a stock hood, then does the SS sit lower, or what's the deal?

It fit fine under the stock hood. The SS hood has some bracing in it that face down, if you know what I mean. With the STB off, my hood closes and lines up just right. When I put it on today, it sat up about 1/4" above the fenders, right where the STB attaches.
