That kit has 10.5" rotors and is smaller than your stock stuff.

If you are looking for 12" or bigger wilwoods than you have to get it one part at a time, Thats what I did and the cost from wilwoods parts $1,100 plus custom brackets.

The Wilwood "Heavy Duty" kit usually listed in Summit's catalog is a drag race only kit. Wilwood doesn't recommend using it on street car.

As JERRYWHO mentioned, it uses light weight parts with narrow rotors intended to lighten up the car and slow it down after a 1/4 mile pass.

Steve Spohn mentioned in another thread that he will be offering the Wilwood 4 piston complete front setup soon.

Well the Dynalite caliper is plenty capable (which is the one that comes in the kit you refer to and is pictured in Jerry's pic), but the tiny non-vented rotors (yep - those are solid rotors that come with that kit) are not up to the rigors of street and/or autocross or road race applications. It is perfect for a drag car however....

Spohn's kit-in-the-works has the Superlite caliper which is a bit bigger than the Dynalite.

Check out www.wilwood.com for details on all of the stuff Wilwood offers.

I pretty much did the same thing as Jerry did. I bought a Wilwood heavy duty brake kit (PN: 140-2992, w/vented iron rotors), and then bought some new Wilwood 12 3/16 x .81" vented rotors (PN: 160-0277) to replace the 10.5" ones in the kit. I also purchased 2 new rotor adapters (PN: 300-3099) to fit the larger diameter rotors to the aluminum Wilwood hubs. It was also necessary to purchase 4 additional bolts (PN: 230-3328) to retain the rotors to the adapters, since the bigger rotors use 8 bolts instead of 6 with the 10.5" rotors. Normally I would just use regular grade 8 style bolts, but the Wilwood ones are pre-drilled for safety wire and are relatively inexpensive. Total cost of my "big" brake kit (with aluminum hubs) was about $800. I'm going to sell my new unused 10.5" Wilwood rotors and adapters to further reduce my total cost. All parts are Wilwood's, except the custom made caliper brackets which are necessary to raise the calipers higher to accommodate the bigger rotors. I made these from 3/8" thick (the Wilwoods are only 1/4") 6061T6 aluminum.

I can't understand why Wilwood doesn't offer the 12 3/16" rotors in a front brake kit for the third gen. F cars.

Edited message for part numbers.

Oh yeah, sorry bout that Jerry . You have the Billet Narrow Mount Dynalite... Pretty much the same as a regular Dynalite mechanically but will take the thicker pads and has the Superlite mounting layout.

Sounds good MCM. I always kind of wondered if a guy could do that with all *factory* Wilwood parts - and if so, why Wilwood didn't release it as another kit???? The kit that I am working on is going to use Superlites with 12.19x1.25 vented rotors and custom AL hubs, hats, and caliper brackets all CNC'd from 6061-T6.... I am using the strut through bolts for the caliper bracket to keep the caliper in far enough to use 0mm offset wheels that are flat-ish (like the GTA wheels). Just waiting on the caliper brackets at this point.... Mine is a test mule (hint hint).
