STB 2pt vs 3pt Differances?

My not so knowlagable self just wants to clarify something, and would greatly appreciate some help
The two point goes between the strut towers?
The three point goes between the strut towers and the firewall?
How are these mounted usually?

I am not smart here either but I think that the 2 point either mount to the strut tower its self usin te 2 forward most bolts on both sides or u drilling your own holes in front of the strut towers and the 3 points mount on the side of the strut tower and the fire wall by drilling and boltin it all your self..hope that helps!!

Jason

(look up pics of how some have mounted theirs)

they all get bolted in front of the upper strut mounts (or whatever they're called), none of them use the anything that's already there, and the only difference in the 3 point is that it's angled forward to help it clear some systems like tbi.....and thus needs another mounting point to keep rigid

no, with your tbi, you need a 3 point.

3 points are suppose to be a little stiffer than the 2 points due to the extra anchor place. I know BMR says never to use a 3 point on a 4th gen cause it will/might crack the windshield. They don't have as much material in the cowl area as we do.

A 3pt will provide more support than a 2pt. the three points are nice and really make a difference. They take out and side to side flex as well as torisonal (diagonal). The 3pt takes away one more degree of freedom.
