Car: 90 RS
Engine: 305 TBI - LT1 Cam
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: Stock Crap
srpings, shocks, lca's, relocation brackets, subframe connectors (alston and spohn styles can work together and you might need both!)

if your planning on 10's put a cage and sub-frames in, it should hold
tranction is another issue. you'll need to plan on a 12bolt or 9" rear, and maybe think about doing a ladder bar suspension, or something of that sort.

If you run Spohn and Alston SFC's together and don't get traction you'll be alright. If you plan on hooking up you'll NEED a cage to keep the car from twisting itself in half.

First off, you dont need that kind of power to run mid 10s. Somewhere around 625 hp and 535 lbs of TQ will get it done in a 3200lb car set up right. However you will need good traction. And that means slicks and a good rear end. Heres a link to MY CAR which is a t top car running nothing but boxed LCA with relocation brackets weld in SFC, Weld in anti roll bar and HAL QA1 rear shocks everthing else is stock including the TQ Arm, rear springs, front struts and what ever else I left out. But it does have a roll bar to pass Tech.

I'm new to all of this, where should I start for suspension upgrades? I have an 88 GTA, 5.7 liter. It's stock as the sig says, except for these little rods with red bushings at all four tires. I forgot WTH they're called, but what woudl be a good "Do this in this order" list if I want it to handle like it's on rails? Mind you, the thing weighs close to 3700 lbs right now. (I want to keep it heavy, too...)

Why so much, or why do I want it to stay that way?
Well, I've heard that the nickname for the GTA was "Gran' Tubby Am"... But extra weight is free downforce... Like I'll EVER see the kinds of speeds where I'll need it.

Let's see... Diet. Would you recommend a high-fiber diet, or something with lots of carbohydrates? But seriously folks, besides stripping the seats and insulation out of the entire car, what would one do to lessen the curb weight? Mind you all, I do want to retain a stock look for as long as I can. It must be a sleeper. It must be nice. It must be nice until I don't want it to be nice anymore. Then it's munchy snack time, with some crunchy cakes to eat.
