Replace right front brake line
When replacing the front brake hoses on my 84 Camaro I twisted
the line off at the nut on the right side.It was froze up bad.Now I need to replace the line. The line runs under the engine .I bent the old line getting it out.Whats the best way to do this.?If you drop the exhaust Y pipe can you get the brake line in there?Route it a different way?Bend my own line or order some from classic tube or Inline tube?

You could just go to a scrap yard and pull a line off of one of those cars.

That's the pain with those tube nuts... even if you took your time with it, there's no guarantee it won't snap.
http://www.classictube.com (and I think a few other companies) sell our brake lines in Stainless Steel!! After snapping quite a few tube nuts on my rear disc axle, when I finally fix that posi and put that axle back on, I'm putting the SS line kit on it.

Yep,Stainless steel would look good ,but more expensive.Ive heard that stainless steel is nearly impossible to double flare without special equipment.I bought some stainless steel fuel line one time and tried to flare it ,couldnt do it.

Use the proper tools for the job
When doing brake, fuel, or tranny coolant lines. You should use line wrenches. If you dont have them get them. Their like 35 bucks for Crafstmans and like 10 bucks for Harbor Freight. I have the HF's. Get em and life will be GRAND.
