Car hops while turning at speed!

Car hops while turning at speed!
I was "Auto-Xing"
the local golf course parking lot last night after everyone had left, and when I would make turns (at like 35) the back end would hop. Not like wheelhop, but like it slowly hops sideways. Why is it doing this? Shouldn't it just slide if it loses traction?
