when to replace tires??

when to replace tires??

i remember hearing some measurements for treadwear when tires need to be replaced....something like 1/8th " deep or something like that. can someone please refresh my mind?

typically there are tread wear indicators on a tire that look like little grooves that go width wise and are around the tire when they are even with the tread it's time for new tires. Or you could always use the lincoln's head test. Take a penny and flip it upside down if you can see lincoln's hair and a gap then it's time to replace them.
