well i know this topics been discussed but never really answered, i'm planning on getting one for my car but people say don't go for a factory one. I figure i'll spend the extra cash and go for as high of quality as i can get. so which is it? spohn or gw

It's a relatively low-stress part, with whatever stress it sees exerted in its most efficient orientation. I'd get the lightest one that will do the job to avoid weighing down the nose of the car.

Spohn's adjustable wonderbar is the best way to go. With any bolt on product that relies on bolt slots for holding position, applying preload after mounting the product will insure the most stability unless it is tack welded not to slip.

I've got the BMR one, worked great after I elongated one of the holes in it so that all 4 bolt holes line up.
