1le brakes

I found the source of my brake problems...
The inner pads were munching on the rotor. The inner rotor now looks like the rings of Saturn. I am replacing the full brake system (minus booster and resoviour..sp?) The online parts description list parts with and without performance package. I assume they mean 1LE..correct? I only had this car a few months... how would I know if they are performance package or not??
92 z28 5.7...seems all stock. Please help before I buy online(rockauto.com).
Thanks

When they ask about the performance package, they are refering to the 1LE package.

Dewey, I though 1LE's were like 11'' or so? LOL I guess I could go in the garage and find out, nevermind.

The 1LE's were supposed to be 11-7/8" in the front and 12" in the rear according to the Hollander interchange a few updates back. I know that they measure closer to 12" though.

FYI....

I have completed my brake rebuild, nothing fancy, just new Raybestos rotors, hoses, pads, Federal Mogul bearings, and Timken seals.. Oh yah rebuilt calipers.

BEARINGS!! Big problem. I had to go to three stores before I could find the correct outside bearing. All the look ups showed V3 or A3. In fact, the correct size was A12(Federal Mogul). Thanks to a guy at O'Riley's, it took only a few minutes afterwards to finish the job.
Hope this help if you looking to replace you bearings.

to run the 1le calipers you would have to do a complete conversion. the carriers are different, requiring spindle mods, etc.
