1989 Firebird rear disks inside please

HELP ME!!!!!!!

My car has had the 1989 Rear disk conversion done to it, And no this is not that same old question.

Look at the pic, Thats my style of brakes. The return lever spring is what i need its #3 in that pic. I went over to a dealer, they ordered me in the spring, but it was for the other style. He said the only way he can get that exact spring is if I have a serial number to a vehicle, then he can order it in no problem. I was just wondering if anyone has a serial number to a 1989 Firebird with rear disks they can tell me, so I can get my spring

Those brakes appear to be the 82-88 version, so if the counter man ordered for an 89, you would, of course, get the wrong spring.

I'll be darned. I checked my 82-91 Parts Cat CD, and it shows those brakes as 86-89. I thought that an 89 would have had rear PBRs--which is what the counter man probably ordered.

Is your 89, a 9- or 10-bolt? Here's the typical 9-bolt '89:

Note the alum PBR calipers.

Just go back and order one for an '86-88 disc brake caliper, that one will be right. Or hit a scrap yard or one of our salvage sponsors.

I did a 10 bolt to 9 bolt swap last fall and got both sets of spring's,parking brake cables, etc.the 9 bolt springs are the same as the 10 bolt ones.I'll let you have one if you'll cover shipping.
