How do I install front springs?

I took them out to put the motor mounts on, I kinda did it ghetto since I didn't have a spring compressor at the time and just lifted the car ti'll the spring flew out? I have a spring compressor now and am wondering how I can put it back in, thanks.

we actually did mine without a spring compressor. we have one, but it was just being a pain in the neck to use for this application, so we just had one of us push down on the A-arm with our foot, and the other put the spring in. then we lined it up, made sure it was seated properly and finished it up.

granted, i would NOT recommend doing this cuz im sure you'll screw somethin up. although i noticed no adverse effects whatsoever.

it was a pain when I did mine for the poly bushings. The easiest way was to compress the spring, attach the ball joint to spindle, seat the spring in a-arm and raise it up with a jack align the bushings with the holes and install bolts. This method is still a pain in the *** but it's the eaisiest way in my oppinion, that or get some lowering springs.

When I put my ProKit in I didn't use a compressor. The darn thing was way to hard to use so I said screw it.

I got the car up as high as I could on the stands, put the jack under the a-arm, and then unbolted the strut. Next I lowered the jack slowly until the spring was fully uncompressed. Pulled the stockers out, and put the eibachs in. Jacked it back up into place, stopping everyonce in a while to make sure it was sitting right up in the hole. Did both sides this way and worked great for me. May not be the "recommended way" but it works...
