Just curious: Why would you want SS bolts here?

What else would you use? No one makes regular steel brake fittings, and no one makes aluminium banjo bolts.....not strong enough. Threads subject to stripping due to force necessary to seal crush washers.

All brake adapters and fittings are normally SS, due to the pressures involved in the system and to prevent corrosion.

Correct!
And, the most important reason,................they can be polished up to look real good! Everything else under the car is polished or plated, so why stop at banjo bolts!

Thanks Chickenman35. Off topic here, but I have been reading your ported/non ported vacuum postings, and all your carb rejetting/tuning posts. :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: Wow, what an expert. Your advice has even got to the UK! I recently received from Summit their Crane adjustable vacuum can and centrifugal weights for my HEI dizzy. Thanks for all the advice and recommendations via the forums. Very, very impressive.

Andy.

I just use the GM stuff, just wondering if there was any "odd" reason for requesting SS bolts here. Thanks for the info!
