Think I heard about this, has to do with the nut that fastens near the transmission crossmember, I don't remember when they spoke about it though.

I just put on the spohn torque arm but with the poly end. I've heard of this sound(tho i dont got it) from what i've read its because you dont have the nut tight enough where the spherical end connects to the crossmember. You have to put some torque on it(i tighten it down basicly as tight as i could no sound here). I guess the bolt is just a little smaller then the diameter of the poly/spherical end, plus you have to remember that the spherical end is going to transfer more noise then the poly, hope this helps.
I got the Adjustable Spohn Torque Arm w/ Spherical End...I havn't put it in yet, but I talked to Spohn, and he said he uses high quality QA1's and shouldn't transfer that much noise...so, hopefully it'll go smoothly!!

it prolly wont be that bad prolly just a little more gear noise....my dad ordered the torque arm for me and i forgot to specify which one or i would have gotten the spherical end. Like i said with my poly/spherical combo ends on the lca and panhard it was barly an increase at all just a little more road noise on the freeway(but hey thats what the radio is for)

today i have solved my slamming noise problemi impacted the rear sphyrical rod ends (that attatck to rear end bracket) and i had placed a rubber stop on the top of the rear end bracket cause i thaugh it was hitting the floorboard ( but i dout that) and i took a ride and i havent heard it all day
the key i thiink is to make sure every end is super tight...

I have that too, and it doesn't really go away no matter how tight you get those bolts. If it's not tight, you will really hear it, but if it is tight, only when the rear gets pounded on. The poly bushing's opening is larger than the bolt and it will jiggle around. I thought that was weird, since there is play designed into it.

I think if you have loosened the bolt once or twice after tightening it the bushing will become loose and you will hear the bang no matter what, im still trying to read where the hell I read this if it was here or another board. That may be why your're clunking.

you should put some lock tight on it then tighten them down pretty hard that should do the trick......if not i dont know cause that worked for me.

I took a really powerful impact 1/2 inch drive torque the front sphyrical rod end till the welding broke..
so i went to lowes hard ware and baught a grade 8 5/8 bolt and uesed the nut that came with the torque arm and really really tighted it..then i torqed the rear rod ends but i also placed a 2 inch rubber stop in the outer rear bolt wholes (the front whole) and never heard or felt it again
