What grease should I use?
I just got my Lakewood LCA's in the mail. What kind of grease should I fill them with? It says "a good brand grease" or something like that. I was wondering if I need a lithium based, synthetic or whatever. Thanks in advance.

Go with the white grease Spohn offers. It stays where you put it and the tube will last you a long time.

conventional grease and polyurethane bushings supposably don't mix. go with synthetic grease - the white sticky stuff.

The Synthetic Grease Spohn sells is like 14 a tube but I know that is the kinda I need (white sticky stuff) for my poly boots. Is the Moible 1 Synthetic grease also the "white sticky stuff" also. I dont want to pay a bunch for the stuff Spohn has on its site if the Moible 1 brand is the same thing.
Thanks

The thick, sticky stuff (usually clearish or milky colored) is actually just a “marine” grease which is less likely to wash away (same stuff used in boat trailer wheel bearings). It’s not necessarily synthetic and the only reason that it originally became the standard for poly bushings is that none of them used to come with grease fittings so something that was sticky and tended to stay put would tend to keep things lubed longer. It's not necessarily a better lubricant, but if the choice is somethign OK or somethign that will wash away and not be there...
Another thing people used to use is the silver antisieze (which is just about impossible to wash off of stuff.. I hate the stuff).
The “superlube” that spohn sells is just a light grease with some Teflon added to it, you can get it at most hardware stores and bike shops (they use the stuff to lube bike shocks). The only advantage to the stuff is that it’s fairly clean (clear, not messy) compared to most greases.
I usually whatever chassis grease is loaded in my gun, which right now I believe is some heavy duty, moly chassis grease fortified with Teflon (I got 2 tubes free with the grease gun, nothing special about it but it is nice that it’s died green an relatively not messy)

I am using EP2 (regular lithium based grease) I have seen it in red, blue, green and black, so you could color match it to the bushings too.
