SFC and Floor question
Guys....this may be sort of a "stupid" question but I am going to ask it anyways.
Putting subframe connectors on a car which either has,or has previously had some floor "issues"....is there any problems with this. I wouldnt think so......but can anyone provide any insight.
I am mentioning this because years ago I had some "issuse" on my floor where your left foot typically rests....and am wondering if this for some reason would cause a problem installing sfc's....I wouldnt think so but then again I am no SFC expert
Thanks,
Dave

I belive that would depend on which SFC you install.
I belive the spohn wouldnt have a problem.
I belive it was the alstons??? It might
Homemade ones you might cut that area out, or it might cause problems.

I dont think its anything to serious compared to some 3rd gen floors I have seen. Where your left foot (drive) sits there was some rot/rust which was cut out a few years ago......given that at the tiem I did not have access to a welder I got some sheet metal (maybe aluminum), formed it and rivited it into place...encapsulated it with fiber glass....so as I am sure you can see this isnt really an area where you could weld something to. Its a stretch which is about 8 inches by about 4......I dont think this would be a problem with a system which isnt welded to the rocker pannels...but checking in with the "experts"

You should be fine with most then. Only one or two might bolt/weld to to that area, where most others weld to the outter pinch weld.
