25mm rear sway bar

Do these really exist?
Part Number?
Picture? Picture of bar being measured?
What year/ options required and cars did they come on?

I've heard people say these were a pontiac only part I've heard others say they were a 1le part, how about helping me get this straightened out once and for all.

I know spoon offers a 25mm bar, but I am talking about the stock 25mm rear sway bar. Supposed to be very rare.

This was the first appearance of 16" wheels on a third generation f-body. The 1500 15th Anniversary Trans Ams also included upgraded WS6 suspension with new 25mm rear sway bar vs the normal WS6's 23mm bar.
That came from the Tech Data Section, that's where I was getting the information from to begin with.

But I guess somebody could have easily hit the 5 key insted of the 4 key by accident. Understandandable, also did a search of the suspension form some people do claim to have a 25 mm stock rear sway bar, but I guess that too could just be incorrect measuring techniques. Anyway of closing this thread so that nobody need post about this issue again.

thats interesting, i had never seen that before. anybody have a 15th they would be willing to crawl under and measure to make absolutely sure. the mods would have to be the ones to close a thread, but im kinda curious now. i just remembered about a thread on the FAQ board that has all the sway bar info anyone could ever want, but it says nothing about a 25mm bar

I have heared from several sources that the 84 15th T/A came w/ a 25mm rear sway bar. Ive read this in vintage magazine articles/ reviews from 84, as well as the tech data on this site.

My 84 came w/ the 23mm rear bar. I will have to ask a friend of mine w/ a 15th to measure his.

I always thought all 25mm (more commonly referred to as 1") bars were aftermarket and were more drag race oriented than handling performance. That's a big bar for the rear!
