Does Any One See Any Problems With This?

I was thinking of lowering my 83 Z28 its to high and its holding back the handeling potential. now as oppoesed to buying springs by edelbrock or ebach wich run like 230-250 i was wondering if anyone can se any potential problems with buying springs from my local salvage yard and cuting them like 1 or 2 coils. i wold still have the stock ones in my garage, so if i needed to i could replace them with the originals. has any one done this or can any one see any major problems with it thanx guys..

I wouldn't do it. I'm surprised your springs are too high considering they're 21 years old if they haven't been changed. A picture of your car's stance would help us help you.
