What I do is to use 15-50 Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Before anyone jumps up & down polyurethane is advertised to be impervious to oils and other compounds.

Basically I bought a quart, placed some in a oil pump can and placed a few drops on each side of every bushing. After I noticed that it drips off, I also placed some newspaper under each place I put the oil. It only drips off for a short while, then the newspapaer goes in the trash.

However, no squeaks!

It really does work. The oil seeps into the crevices unlike the grease and keeps everything squeak free.

RBob.
