parking brake won't lock

Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 5 Speed
parking brake won't lock
OK I own A 1990 Iroc with a 5 speed and rear discs.
I've done several searches and still have not found what I am looking for so any help is appreciated.
When I pull the brake handle the rear brakes do engage. But after i let go it will immediately pop down or it will sit there a while until I walk a way from the car then pop down and set of my alarm. dose any one know how to fix this or is it that recall ive read about

Transmission: 700R4
The cam inside the parking brake lever is worn and allowing the lever to fall. Go to a junkyard and get a replacement parking brake control lever assembly. They are not that hard to replace.
