They shouldn't add any noise as they don't move, and shouldn't vibrate at all.

I keep wiping out bearings. Though Karl and others claim to never have. Funny thing is that my car is also lighter weight up front than most others, however I do run the Koni's very stiff. Last set Iof bearing I put in were the Aurora PRN-12's. They lasted about 8 months until play- the standard COM-12's they came with went bad on me within weeks.

I've had mine on for about a year now, no bearing problems.

and no noticable noise or vibration.

on both of them or just one?

you might want to mic the insides and see if they're still round... how much camber are you running?

Both sides. Its definately the bearings. The pivot ball is knocking inside the bearing housing. I listed the wrong # above(PRN-12T) they are part # PNB-12T, load rating of 46,400#. The stock COM-12T bearings were 31,920#.

The front camber on this car is aprox -.80, but that has nothing to do with the problem. The problem I'm having is the high dampen force I run the Koni's on to handle the 800+coils. I run them 1/2 turn from max rebound. That combined with the way I abuse this car on rough street roads is why they don't last. Its not the mounts, its the bearings (Just like any spherical bearing run on street cars- race tracks for the most part don't have bumps, dips, and potholes like street driving does.)

Another note: Dale (Jay) metioned to me in an email awhile back that QA1 makes a very high end spherical bearing that has a much greater load rating than even the Aurora ones I used last. I will have to check on them next. These last ones were not cheap (PNB-12T's are aprox $60 each/ COM-12T's are only $16 each)

The QA1 bearings Dale was telling me about are NOT the ones used in the Spohn mounts, the are supposed to be much hgier load ratings- I'll check and see right now if I can locate any such info.

Found some specs. They are part # PSB12T and have a load rating of 78,000. Cant find a price, I'll have to call around- but I am definately going to these next. The ones spohn sells are QA1 Com-12T's (The "T" is for teflon on any bearing) They are identical to the Aurora COM-12T's @ 31,920 ratings.
