Roll Cage
I am trying to tie up the chassis on my 88t/a, and I am thinking of installing a roll cage. I am trying to get some protection and trying to stiffen up the chassis. Do the Roll cages witrh removable side bars offer the same benefit as the cages with permanant bars? Also, does anybody have pics of the side bars on the sw racing roll cage? Thanks

I dont like the removable side bar cages...There has to be a strength issue there in relation to rigidity.
I have a 6pt rollbar in my 'bird. The first time I drove the car there was a noticeable difference in stiffness. Also the first time I lifted the car up with a floor jack I put the jack in the same spot as usual and instead of just lifting the front side of the car it lifted the rear tire off the ground as well. If you are planning on doing any type of racing with the car I would reccommend at least a 6pt.

Any car will lift both wheels if you jack it in the right place, usually right under the middle of the door (for 2-door cars.) The real test is to jack it just slightly behind the front wheel and see if it picks the back up also.
