new shock mounts?

is it easy to replace the bolt/isolator on a bilstein shock? you know, the sleeve lower mount? seems i need to press the rubber bushing out and repress the new bushing/bolt in. right?

Did you mean the part that covers the exposed shaft of the strut? When I changed my strut tower mounts the stock sleeve wouldn't fit inside the new mount.

If that's the part you're talking about, I would assume you just buy a replacement if necessary. I can get that part number for you if that's the case.

sorry, but i wasn't clear...it's the rear shock....lower mount....it's a sleeve mount on the shock with a rubber bushing and a bolt. can the bushing be replaced? pressed out?

my only question is.

how old are the shocks? if the bushing needs replacing. my first guess is, it is about time to replace the shock instead.
