Could anyone reccomend a complete front end overhaul kit?
I'm thinking of an overhaul kit which consist's of all needed steering endlinks, ball joints and whatever else which gets worn.
If there is a complete package for this it would be great.
In addition, I would also get a complete bushing kit, not decided if it's going to be those poly-things (too hard maybe) or not yet.
And I'm swapping out the shocks.
I would like to completely overhaul the front end, so that I don't need to swap out small parts down the line. As it is today, the front end squeeks when you turn it all over, and cracks, and the strut tower bushings are gone, at least something rattles going over uneven road. And I think maybe, the calipers need some new bushings too. They "clack" when I brake medium hard, but it could be the tower bushing perhaps. The front tires where changed by the previous owner due to uneven wear (outiside), but now the new tires are beginning to get worn on the outside as well. So I guess it's time for an overhaul.
Do anyone sell all the needed joints in one package?
As for the bushings, would standard rubber ones do a good job? I would not like the car to make more noise or be stiffer than it already is, if so, it have to be only slightly.
Thanks

The rubber boots are fine. I use the poly in the kit for my tie rod ends, but the poly ball joint boots suck. Use the stock rubber ball joint boots.
For swaybars, I'd definitely use poly. For the a-arm bushings, I'm not keen on poly (squeek city since you can't take it apart to lube, not easily anyway). I use the del-a-lum bushings on mine.
The strut mounts are not included, but you can probably buy them at the same time.

So You mean I need som stock rubber boots and some poly? Wont they be a bit hard to change on the ball joints? Dang, this was just to many choices...lol
I thought buying a kit would make it simple.
Got a link for a supplier of any moog kits? They have to be able to deliver preferably worldwide too. I have used summit in the past, and they are all good, but sgoggin dickey are still on backorder on a part I ordered 3 months ago, and no feedback.
Performance suspension don't really mention what's in the kit, just what's usually in them. Additionally, do I really need "performance ball-joints? I'm a bit value oriented here also, but around $200 may be the going rate.
EDIT: Seems spohn got a "complete front end rebuild kit" from moog for $342 but don't mention what's in it. Seems that the strut tower mount is a bit expensive at $164, and I'm not sure that's included. I'll email them.

I've been told to stay away from PST (Performance Suspension Technology) because they use cheap over-seas parts. For front end linkage parts stick to the ones made in USA.

I bought the federal mogul brand name parts (the company that makes moog, but not them) and they are made in foreign coutries
. They work good, but I figured that they would probably be made in the USA, because well, why would they manufacture the same part in 2 different places. Oh well, they fit and are good stuff (and cheap).

After reading this (go to the polyurethan section): http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/1701/index.htm
I've been discouraged to by those kind of bushings. My car is a street car, and will remain that way, and the comfort aspect is important to me. Guess I'll go with regular rubber instea. Shame no one makes kits with rubber only.
I took a look at autozone's site, but they don't stock kits either. Since I really don't know what I need, or the names of them, it would be better with a complete kit. So far I've only found Spohn's kit.

I'm rebuilding the entire front and rear suspension on mine. Spohn was the only place that I found that had all the moog parts in one kit. And his prices on the strut tower mounts were the cheapest that I was able to find (for moog), even Summit was slightly higher.

FYI.

there is a pretty complete list of part numbers. the MRC line at NAPA is Moog parts, their more expensive line is federal mogal IIRC, they are the NPC (Napa Chassis) line.

I reccomend the Spohn kit. Got poly bushings and the rest are all moog parts like the ball joints etc. Good price for a complete kit to boot!!
