Do SS Brake Hoses Leak easily?

My dad’s mechanic told him that they are aeroquip fittings. He also said they tend to leak after awhile. Anyone know if they are prone to leak? I’m looking at these SS hoses.

I've had no leaks from my Earls' lines in over 2 years. If installed properly, you shouldn't either.

Why should a braided SS hose leak when it uses the same fittings as the stock rubber ones.

All depends on how well the hose is crimped.

That would hold true for all hose connections, not just the braided SS brake hoses.

No leaks on my earl's. Ask the guy how they are supposed to be more leak prone when they use the same fittings as the factory?

Besides....even if they were aeroquip AN fittings...if they are done right, they will not leak. I have had the same AN fittings on my fuel lines for 6 years now....been apart many times...no leaks yet.

No kidding.

But I hear a heck of alot more compaints about braided lines blowing off then rubber lines. And not just on this forum.

I use rubber lines and replace them regularly (which everyone should be doing with the ss but never do).
