I'm looking at a set of wheels made for 88 to 91 Corvettes, I think. They are 17 x 9.5 and I dont know the Corvette backspacing compare to my T/A which has GTA honeycomb wheels. Tires to fit would be 275 40 17 or 285 40 17. Will these fit and do I require spacers or something?

 

You will need spacers. Try a search or two for vette wheels.

 

Not sure about the 9.5" wheels, but I have 17x8.5" wheels and I used a 2" adapter all around. I got the adapters for about $140 (half as much as they usually go for) on ebay.

 

Hey thanks for the ebaY tip. Could you send me a link to your auction or the sellor please? I'm thinking about C4 brakes now after I searched. I was going to do 1LE brakes but now the C4 looks much better if it fits the stock 16" crosslace wheels. Does anybody on the forum make the caliper mounting brackets to sell?

Yeah I saw that auction. I was not sure of the actual # of adapter's the auction was for, I planned on emailing him. So whats the price difference on doing C4HD brakes compare to regular C4? Do the HD still fot 16" GTA wheels? I searched and somebody said they fit but it was damn close and just want a second opinion.

I am a regular on the other threads but I dont check this one much. Last time I was here Spohn was sourcing brackets for 1LE brakes. You guys are doing great stuff with brakes and suspension and I'm gonna do some of this to. Paging ebmiller... I need some brackets guy.
