Springs WS6 or stock

I have bought a set of used springs. They should be WS6 springs but look exactly like the stock ones on my car. Can anybody tell me how to see the difference?

Here's some measurements from my original WS-6 springs.

Front - 11 lbs/ea, 0.710" diameter, 6 3/8 turns, 350 mm free length

Back - 5.5 lbs/ea, 0.480" diameter, 7 turns, 360 mm free length

Hmm
The exact measurements on the springs I bought as WS6 are

Front - 10.5 lbs/ea 0.67" diameter 360 mm free length
Back - 5,3lbs/ea 0.49" diameter 370 mm free length

I guess that meens that I have been taken? It looks like the front springs are stock and not WS6 as I was told.

Unless my conversion are wrong there are though something wrong. My rear springs are not so heavy but still a small bit bigger in diameter??

Any way - I guess there are only one way - put them in the car and see the difference. (But still would like to be sure)

Thanx Hans

I wouldn't necessarily conclude you don't have WS6 springs. Over the course of 11 years Pontiac probably had a number of different spring specs (all called WS6) depending on the year and maybe different vendors who supplied the springs. A .04" diameter difference is pretty negligible. The difference in spring free length could be because my springs have some sag after 15 years and 92,000 miles or because we didn't measure them the same way. My weights are very rough. Stand on a scale with and w/o the springs so I wouldn't worry about that at all.

If the number of turns is very close to what I posted before then I'd say you have WS6 springs.

I guess that I will just put them in the car and see what happens. Thanx for the input.
