Front end rebuild/brakes/steering box isues

Guys, here's the deal: The ENTIRE front end is getting rebuilt. I'm getting the steering box rebuilt, a FE rebuild kit, struts and springs (rear too) top end strut bearings, bushings, and I'm even going with new LS1 brakes. Problem is I can't afford it all at the same time. Do any of you have a logical order in which to do this work? I don't have enough knowledge with this stuff to form a good game plan. I'll be doing most of it from the manual, and common sense.

Just looking for ideas.

PS- I'm having a "shimmy/shake" problem somewhere up front, and if I can find the source, that my dictate what gets done first.

Do the steering box, idler arm, and steering linkages first, also add a wonderbar if it's not already there. Then get a set of junkyard spindles, and fab the brakes up off-the-car. That way you can take your time and get it all just right, and when it comes time to put them on you can just drop the A-arms, change the ball joints, swap the brakes out spindles-and-all, and put it back together with the new struts/springs.

That way the only thing you take loose twice is the tie-rods at the spindle (although it will require 2 alignments.)

Makes sense.

That's the best idea I've heard all day!

Thanks.
