Poly Tie Rod Boots Install

I just got my Prothane tie rod and ball joint boots and tie rod sleeves from Spohn. There were no instructions in the package since it looks easy enough.

However, do I just put the poly tie rod boots and ball joint boots over the existing rubber one of my new tie rods and ball joints? Or do I have to remove the rubber?

If not, will the poly boots stretch over the rubber boots when I tighten everything down? The Prothane's are slightly smaller in diameter than the rubber.

Also, do I grease the ball joints and tie rods before or after the installation?

I looked at Sphon's pictures of the tie rod sleeves and it looks like the boots are jut put over the rubber ones.

Remove the old boots, clean the joints up a bit, perhaps grease the inside of the new boots, and put them on and lube.

Cut new rubber boots off?

I guess I cut the new rubber boots off the new tie rods, then install the new poly bushings?

Yes, that's exactly what James said.
