Help Me Pick A Tire!!!!!

Im in the market of new tires...I live in So Cal so i wont need a snow tire but I will need a tire that is good in the raining.My budget is in the $100-160 max...Ill need it in 245/40/18...What does everyone recommend?All and any info will be greatly appreciated....

Axle/Gears: ones with teeth
160 for an 18? good luck with that. the price will tell you what you can get for sure, won;t leave you with many choices. my 17 bfg cost that much each for the fronts more for the rears add another 20.00. plus balancing ect.

I have the 712's...so far so good. Maybe just a bit too stiff but a great buy for the money.

Good grip
Decent wear
Awesome wet trac.
Snow drivable
I'm on my second set from tire rack. They don't look as cool or have the grip of say a Goodyear GSC or S02. But for the price they are nice.
