well thanks alot, that looks really cool but to pricecy.i found a local parts store that carrys them rebuilt for $150.now wats the diffrence of a z s .box the quick ratio or the standard s.box?
I had mine rebuilt here. http://www.circletracksteering.com/products.htm Looks and works great after the rebuild. Fast turn around, about 1 week with shipping, but I within 150 miles.
$125 + shipping both ways.
Note the ratios on the web site....I have the 12:1 on mine as stock. Find out what you have. It can be upgraded on a rebuild.

that sounds cool.i can just pull one from the junkyard and send it to them.but wat is the stock ratio and then wats that fast ratio box?wats the diffrence
I can't say with certainty for the RS models. I think the stock was the progressive rate 16:1. The quick ratio is a linear 12:1. That's the one you want. That came stock on a certain cars. I know the late model Z28s had them, and the WS6.
Call Circle Track Steering and ask him (Larry Whitlow), he'll know. There's a fee for converting a box to 12:1, but I don't know it off-hand.
