anyone with eibach pro kit please help

i had an eibach pro kit installed this week. i was under the impression it would lower my car 1"-1.5". the car is at the same height.

why is this? does it need to "break in" or something? does it not lower like i was lead to beleive?

Car: too many ...
It will take some time for the springs to settle. I've always run used progressive rate springs, so I didnt have to wait. But I've read about other people using new ones and the springs taking a few weeks to settle. There are also a few other things to consider when measuring the new ride height. If your old springs were worn out and sagging, then the car was sitting lower than it did from the factory. The advertised drop heights are in relation to the stock height, so replacing sagging springs with drop springs might not drop the car as low as you thought it would. Another thing to consider is the spring isolators. If your old springs didnt have isolaters, and the shop that installed the new springs added spring isolators (which is the right way to do it), then that will cause the ride height to be a little higher (not much but a little). All three of those things combined can give you the feeling that the car didnt drop as low as it should have. I say give it some time and see how it looks in a few weeks.

Keep us updated. I'm still up in the air as to which springs to use. Pro-kit or sportlines.

I went from a new set of WS6 springs to a used set of Pro Kits. Front end was always a little bit higher than the rear. Hoped the Eibachs would fix it but nope, still sits the same. Very dissappointed.

Lots of people have cut half a coil of the front of the Pro-Kit from what I understand.

Were the springs indexed correctly when they were installed? If not, it will definitely affect the ride height.

I had the pro-kit in my RS before I sold it last year, I liked both the ride and the ride height. Sportlines, in my opinion, are too low for street. Looks cool and all, but having to crawl over speedbumps, dips, potholes, etc. gets a little old after awhile. Even with the pro-kit, my SFC's would occasionally scrape over high speed bumps.

I know mine are indexed right. Sometimes it's a pain to get them right and get them to line up in the upper pocket too.

I threw a set of sportlines in the rear and set it on the ground to see how they were and they were VERY low. I mean the rear end looked like it woulda scrapped a ton. I never tried the front sportlines, I just returned those for the prokit. So I would recommend the prokit.

i bought a prokit specifically because i knew it wouldn't change my ride hieght much. i have a 82 T/A and the springs were so wore out, you could compress them 3/4 by hand. and the ride and handling from the prokit is unbelievable compared to the stock wore out crap i had. give it time. my front and rear are the same height, but yours may be different. good luck.

I just cut 1/2 coil off my pro kit today, dropped it to the perfect height. I'll post a pic as soon as I get it hosted.

Finished install yesterday. Got about 1.5" drop in front and nothing noticeable in back. Had 114K mile WS6 springs in the '89.

Sometimes if the anti roll bar end link bushings are polyurethane and overtightened the car will not settle down to the correct ride hight
