New C6 aftermarket rims work?
There's on vendor on Ebay who's selling 17x8.5" C6 replica wheels. I was wondering if the "8.5" will cause any issues? Good tire size for them?

A 245 or 275 tire would be a good choice. You will need spacers like any other 4th gen/vette wheel. 8.5" up front is a piece of cake.

Wheel adpaters and spacers can be bought from a few places. www.skulte.com has what appears to be the best ones. You will spend a few hundred dollars for solid wheel spacers. A few searches should bring up other vendors.

Wow, for only going to 8.5" I never knew it would cost a couple of hundred.

Gunny,
Have you considered ROH snypers? You can run 17x9's with no spacers on the wheels can be had for about $200 each. I would be leary of aftermarket chrome wheels. They tend to flake and you can have constantly leaky tires.

Polished wheels give you that mirror look without the "bulkyness" and pitting of chrome.
