I finally finsished my suspension (aside from throwing new sway bars, lca's...etc (the easy stuff)). I dont have any good pics yet of the new wheels on the car or anything but I took a few shots of it sitting on the ground. Im beyond fine with the ride height in the front (and thankful that I didnt screw up while putting those springs in, because I hated that job worse than my worst enemies). But the rear....jeez. Ill be open-minded and give it the chance to settle....but jeez...keep in mind that in these pics, the wheels are 18's

If the rear doesn't settle, time to take out the spring isolaters and wrap the top coil in some heater hose.

Does that work???

My Pro-kit also is raked. I'm still runnin' my factory Irocs, so the rake actually looks kinda cool, but I'd still like to have it sit level.

wow that's pretty extreme, i cut a half coil off the top and still didn't rake that much. either way when are you going to post some daylight pictures of the hole car so we can see those rims you waited so long for?

When I used to run the Sportlines and 275/40/17 rear tires I was also really unhappy with the stance. It was too much rear fendergap for my tastes. I figgured when I went to 18's and a 35 series rear tire it would look even worse. So I swapped out just the rear springs at first, ran 10" springs and weight jacks and evened the drop out. Ran it like that for a while (Sportlines in the front, 10"/WJ in the rear) and it was great. Eventually decided to slam it and took out the Sportlines altogether. I'll be honest with you man, your setup will settle and get a little lower (especially in the front), but if you want slammed slammed then they are not the right spring choice.

Hey CrazyHawaiian, any pics/descriptions what your weight jacks were like?

As far as the rest of this… pull the spring isolators and replace them with some hose, that will lower the back ¾-1” and will work fine. Also pay attention to where the top coil ends with the rear springs, there is almost ½” difference in ride height between having it in front vs in the back of the pocket.

when you say to use heater hose....do you mean just to get some that will seat on the springs, slit it in half and use that as an isolator??

Yup, cut the hose in 1/2 the long way and use it as an isolator. Might need to use some tape to keep it seated properly while installing. I'll get some pics for you 83 Crossfire TA, I'm in the middle of installing them on my IROC. I'm gonna be making a post comparing the weight jack setup and custom spring compared to both eibach pro kit and sportlines, and oem FE2 springs. I want to take measurements of them uncompressed and then later on installed (different cars, but same dimension wheels). I'm really happy with them on my Z28, they allowed me to set the stance the way I wanted. And I'm using them with linear springs so I got to choose the spring rates. Highly recommended although I think the Weight Jacks from Ground Control are a little expen$ive. Same thing with the Global West ones. Someone that has access to a welder and some other shop tools and some time can save alot of money by assembling their own weight jacks. The parts for the weight jack units can be bought individually through places that sell stock car racing products, then they need to be assembled (requires some spot welds). I'm a real noob at welding so I flaked out and just paid for the assembled ones, shame on me.
