Dogtracking ?

I just want to understand this

You say when the car is lowered the as& end sits to the drivers side? Do you mean the rear axle moves over to the passenger side and there’s more space on the drivers side between the tire and the outer fender than the passenger side?

For sportlines how much should I lengthen the Panhard bar? An inch or so ? just to get it in the ballpark before final adjustment?

Thanks.

I've seen this on all third gens even with stock suspension. It's just more noticable with wider tires.

dog tracking or dog legging is when the rear axle is not perpendicular with the geometric centerline. If you have ever seen a truck that looks like it is going doen the road sideways, it is dog legging

Ideally, you should adjust it on the car. What brand PHB did you buy? The Spohn PHB let's you easily make adjustments on the car and in small increments so you can fine tune.

Other brands require you to do trial-and-error by disconnecting one end, turning the bushing (either a full or half turn), then reconnecting.

ITs Spohn adjustable. So I just put it on, let the car down and start adjusting it ?

With the car lowered, it might be a bit tough to adjust the PHB with the car sitting on the ground. Not much room to work.

I adjust mine by jacking up the rear of the car by the axle. This keeps the rear suspension loaded and gives you room to make adjustments.

I recommend using some type of straight edge to hold vertically against the outside edges of the tires, so you can see how much the axle needs to be adjused.

Drive the back tires up on ramps, if you’re really **** do it with the front end up a hill or jack the front end up some so it’s sitting level. As far as measuring it, hang a plumb bob (or any piece of string with a weight on it) over the edge of the top of the rear fenders and then just measure from the wheel or tire over to the string on both sides till it’s even.
