Nitto drag radial?

Are they better for the street? How can they be? dont the nittos havve to be heated up for them to grip? I can see that they would work at the track but what about the street?

I mean in a street race you cant say, hey wait a minute let me heat my tires up...

Oh come on! U know what I mean....LOL You might be able to do it down there but you damn sure SHOULDNT do it up here without creating alot of attention and getting pulled. I aint gonna heat the tires up sitting at a red light with freaking people at all corners. Give me a break...?

you don't need to heat up the m/t drag radials i have hardly at all. they hook GREAT on the road. but i wouldn't run them anywhere near any water. it gets kinda hairy.

I've run only Nitto's on the rear of mine for the past year. They hook great when they're "cold", and awesome at the track once you really heat them up. Things only get a little hairy in the rain once you've worn them down some.

That's not a street race, racing from a stoplight is just stupidity.

My best races have been on the street. You pull up to a light, Mustang, Vette or like in the lane next to you. How can you not nail the throttle?

Now I don't mean weaving in and out of cars or in stop and go traffic.

...so coming out of the light at WOT isn't gonna draw any attention to you?
anyhow, the Nitto's are the best for driveability/mileage. The BFG's are next in line, MT's last. If you search under my name about DR's you'll find my results(mileage and 60fts) of the nittos and the bfg's on my car and a buddies 02 'stang, both running 315/35/17's. I think I'm cutting about the best 60' on them(17" anyhow). 1.66 best, consistent between 1.66-1.69. My car hooks in the rain. - as for rain driving, for most they do good. I've had it float around a bit on some roads that are really flat and new pavement. If I tap the gas it plants back down, no issues.
