Putting Iroc 16 inch wheels on sports coupe

Car: 86 sports coupe-83 berlinetta
Engine: 5.0 in the sports coupe-350 in the berlinetta
Transmission: 700r4 in the sports coupe-turbo-350 with a 2500 stal in the berlinetta
Putting Iroc 16 inch wheels on sports coupe
The wheels have 235/55s on it now. When I go to buy tires I will run the 245/50s. The question I have is will the 245/50s rub. I have an 89 Iroc gear box Im putting on This minute, Does the gear box limit the the turns if the car it came off of had 245/50s?
