will 18x9.5 rims fit with coil overs

Car: 89 ws6 trans am
Engine: 383 supercharged
Transmission: t-56
Axle/Gears: 9 inch 3.90's spooled
will 18x9.5 rims fit with coil overs

i am about to get some 18x9.5 c6 rims, and i wanted to know if they would fit on the front with coil overs. i am new here and could not find anything when i tried a search. thanx

If you get the right adapters and run a reasonable ride height it should fit with no worries. There are alot of guys running 275/40/17's on the front with drop springs and they are OK. If you run a 275/35/18 then you should have similar results. If you plan to really lower the car then consider smaller width tires like 255's or 265's.

what size spacer would i have to run? and if i change to c5 brakes will that make a differance on the spacer?

drop springs dont get in the way of the tire..


coilovers do...... if they'll clear his car or not, i donno.

Hmm didnt consider that, and honestly I got no idea cuz I have no experience with coilovers. Guess it would depend on how much bigger they are than stock struts and how close stock struts sit next to a 9.5" wide wheel in the front.
