Would 15" wheels work with 4th gen LT1 rear discks ?
I did multiple searches, but cant get a clear cut answer to this. I am thinking about getting a Strange 12 bolt rear, and they supposedly work with LT1 discs, but will 15" wheels fit over these brakes?

I have those style brakes on my 9". I tried a set of 15x10 weld wheels with 5.5 bs. The wheels hit the caliper a little. I think a 1/4" spacer would help the wheel clear the caliper, but I didnt have one to try it. Hope this helps....

Lets see if I have this right...The wheel would fit over the calipers as far as diameter goes, but the center part would
hit the caliper because it sticks out farther over the mounting pad ? If this is the case, then it would just depend on the type of the wheel...which sucks, because You wont know until
You try it...this is what I was afraid of...

It actually wasnt on the center part of the caliper it was on one end. But your right...best bet would be try one on it first...I actually borrowed the wheel from a friend. I sold them to him and wanted to know if it would clear in case I wanted to buy 15 wheel to mount slicks on for the track....

What 15" wheel are you're using?
With the PBR calipers, I ground down the fins on the caliper and used a 1/4" spacer to clear 15" Weld Draglites.
I've read though that Centerline Telstars will bolt on with no mods.

I'm running those discs on the back of my p/u and I've got 15 x 10" wheels on it. They work (but it's close). They're US Wheel chrome steel. I think it depends on the wheels you use.
by the way, the lt1 cop car caprices used the same setup (if I'm way off here, somebody let me know) and those had 15" wheels stock.

I just screwed up a back tire on my ’97 WS5 (https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=310850) and I temporarily have it sitting on a set of early 3rd gen 15x7’s off of my ’83 TA, so the brakes obviously clear those.
I’m going to be running a set of LT1 rear brakes on the 9” going in my formula after measuring the brakes and checking them with every set of 15” rims that I had access to, they all seem to have about ˝” clearance or so.

I was planning on using the 15X8.5 Centerline Convo-Pros for track use with slicks. I am thinking I will just get someone with a LT1 f-body to come around and test fit some wheels. Problem is, it seems it really depends on the type of wheel and how the center section is designed on the particular style of wheel. I do have a 15X10 Convo Pro, maybee I will try those on and see how they clear...
