Hey 92stealthramz28, the cage looks great. I'm working on the 8 point kit--just like yours w/o the halo bar. I noticed you have the stock armrest on the door panels, can you post a pic of how your door bars are installed? I special ordered the door bars with the bend, but I'm still having trouble locating them around the seat and the armrest.

Thanks,
Boo

Hey Booboosean, when I installed the cage I had the pillar bars at the bottom angle inwards, so the door bars could clear. With the pad removed there's about an 1/8" clearance. Here's some pics.

can you take some close ups of where it goes through the dash? what did you have to modify in the dash to get it to fit through?

I was going to ask that also. Since the only interior my car has is the dash pad, I hacked the ends off to put my A-piller bars in. I wasn't building a show car

Your installation does look good though. I like how the a-piller bars tuck tight along the a-piller. I've seen 2 types of cages. One where the halo bar loops around the roof and connects on both ends to the main hoop. The other style has the a-piller bars going up the a-piller, across the rool line and connect to the main hoop. The halo bar is just a bar that runs across the windshield connecting the 2 a-piller bars together. Personally I like that design better but mine is the first style.

Hey 92stealthramz28, thanks for the great pics (very helpful). You did a great job tucking it in so it's not too visible to the guy in the Mustang that pulls up next to you at a stop light lol. I'm going to try to pull off the installation so that I can use most of the stock interior also.

Your tire and wheel combo looks good too. I know this is not the forum for it, but I gotta ask. What wheel offset and tire size are you running in the rear?

Thanks,
Boo

KagA152, here are some pics of the dash. I had to notch the corners of the dash pad. I removed the a/c, the only part of the dash I had to modify was the metal support bracket that runs along the bottom. The part of the bracket that was cut off help hold the fuse panel & lower dash pad. So, the bracket that I cut off I had to cut & modify in order to install my fuse panel & lower dash pad in it's stock location. Also, I installed the dash bar & in order to clear my instrument cluster I had to bend the ends.

Booboosean, I have the convo-pro 15x8.5 w/ 5.5 backspacing. Tire size (street) 26x10 American Racers. (drag) Hoosier 28x9. I had to modify the inner fender by the lower control arms w/ a hammer for clearance.

Stealth those are some really sweet wheels !!! what model are they??? I'de love to get a set. your roll cage setup looks ALOT like mine. I have an 8 point and I still have the arm rests on my doors. I just made sure that when those bars were welded in place the arm rests were on the doors and the seats were bolted in place to get a true sense of where the bars had to be located to have that setup, little tight getting my seats back on though (PMD seats).
