Just how imprtant/useful is suspension work? Also some wheel questions.

Hey, I just bought my car a few months ago and a lot of work was done to it. This includes new performance 350, rear, exhaust (headers back), intake, etc. But no work was done to the suspension. How bad is this, and what can I gain by doing suspension work. I know about a little about mechanics and a lot about bodywork and painting, but nothing about suspensions. also, what should i put in and what does each part cost relatively? i apreciate your help a lot.

also a couple wheel questions. If i wanted to put wheels for a fourth gen on my car what do I need to put on. If I put on spacers, will that make my wheel come out more, therefore restricting me to smaller tires (im running 275's now and they almost stick out). thanks a lot for all the help and I am sure I will have more questions along the way.

alright well...are u talking upgrades or worn out parts work being done?

Good investment in which im ordering tommaro is all new poly urethane bushings ive nothing but good feedback from it. My suspension is really squeaky too thats my main reason. If you search just this main page ull learn lots not saying just search but the recent topics got lots of info. go to our sponsor spohn and check out some suspension products, ull learn alot what they help with and what not.

For the work thats done to ur car i wouldnt hesitate on my first mod to the suspension would be subframe connectors...read up on some.

4th gen wheels require 2" spacer but u can get whatever size ud like but it depends how far u want the wheel to be tucked or sticking out. Search info about 4th gen wheels in general.

btw- i pm'ed you

they are american racing wheels.

as for the suspension?! omg this can take a 14second car into a 13 second car in a heart beat! i dont care how good of an engine you have, or how much power you have, or how fast you think the car is. without suspension you have nothing!! its sorta like having a riding lawnmower with out a blade to actually cut the grass

well, a lot of people make knock off wheels nowadays, plus it does not have the american racing center caps, they look more like the torque thrust IIs anyways, and the d's dont even come in 17 inch. straight from the american racing website.
